my story

I am a licensed nail technician in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I work at Obsidian Nail Studio, where we specialize in hand painted nail art.

For many years, I wanted to study nails and become a nail tech, but the barrier to entry was always higher than I wanted it to be. I already had a bachelors degree in graphic design, and studying nails was expensive. One day while driving, without having actively pondered it, I thought to myself - “I’m doing it. I’m signing up for school.”

Throughout the nail school process, my life fell into place perfectly. I mean everything, from having the love I wanted to moving into a space I adore. I walked my path and the universe took notice! I couldn’t have been happier I listened to that quiet intuitive knowing.

Next on my sights I had to find a place to work. I found Obsidian while searching for salons to reach out to in school one day, and it quickly became my number one choice. From aesthetics to artistry, Obsidian had everything I wanted in a studio. Thank god she liked me back.
